Hey loves! whats crackalackin’?! I hope you are doing great because I am. I just finished my finals today and I am over the moon.
This is a super duper late post, it was scheduled to go up earlier but for some reason my card was not reading on my mac and my USB cord was no where to be found. I am not a techie person as I just do the bare minimum.
Enough of my rambling and unto the blogpost. I don’t normally go for tights as I love to bare it all but I wanted to stay warm while looking cute. I purchased the dress during the semi-annual zara sale, but I decided to wear the shirt underneath because the weather in this part of the world is unbearable. Layering really helps to stay warm in the winter.
I attended a women’s conference and I learnt so much during that weekend. Here is a rundown on what I took from it. There were lots of incredible sermons but this is my favourite by Pastor Helen Burns of Relate church. A murmuration is a flock of starlings – they create beautiful formations as they fly as a group before settling down for the evening. These birds act this way when they sense a predator. God wants us all (women and men) to build community during hard times because that is what would get us by.
Considering the fact that I suck at friendship, I started applying these tips she shared in my relationship with friends. It works! (A blog post on my shitty take on friendship is coming soon, keep you eyes peeled.) Here are the tips;
- Jealousy and competition are not healthy for friendship.
- Investing time goes a long way. This could be in form of calling, texting, sending a cheeky lil parcel or letter their way (colour me mrs romantic). I love some deep meaningful conversations (bonding time), it’s therapeutic.
This post won’t be complete if i don’t share some ways to choose good friends;
- Ask God to help and give you the spirit of discernment.
- Put your self out there, it doesn’t matter if you are the first one to send a text or initiate an outing.
